Daily Happy:
An observation I made as a child was how industrious ants are when they are busy at work. If you take a moment and watch them for even just that, a moment, you will see an incredible sentient being with which we share space.
It is rather fascinating. For example: George and I went for a walk the other day. While walking along the sidewalk I noticed a line of ants crossing the sidewalk. These ants were not walking on the cement, but rather they were utilizing the crack between two cement blocks as their own personal highway.
I know that some might find this gross; others will find this fascinating; while the rest will find it as information that draws a long yawn of boredom. For me, I find it in my 'things that I am grateful' for category. Not because I have this desire to be a entomologist, but because I get to share space with an amazing little creature.
Now I understand for most ants are considered pests, and especially in the summer when you just want to kill them to keep them away from your picnic basket, and you know what, that is alright too. Life has to have balance, and death is an integral part of that balance.
Just for this moment, right now, when I am thinking about ants, I am thinking about how determined they are, how incredibly focused they are, and how hard they work for their family. And for all of those reasons, I may not love them, but I truly respect the noble ant.
So....Sunshine is out.
Make the most of today. Always love with your whole heart.
And Remember
Happy Does It! ;o)
