Daily Happy:
Perspective. The kind that you get when you look at all of the factors and with any luck you make a good decision.
Now, I am not going to say that life with my hubby has always been roses and cherries, but we have had many, many good years together.
However, our very first year together, we almost called it quits. Summer of 2001, was a difficult year for us. We were both hot headed individuals, who thought they knew more then the other, and our communication (at that time) sucked. Blending two families together is like fitting a square into a circle, but with a little creativity, and a larger circle, problems disappear.
George and I use our experience from our first year as solid gold perspective. We talk about it it openly with anyone because we both know the key to having a loving and lasting relationship is learning how to communicate.
Funny, two people with a vast knowledge of the English language had a difficult time expressing our thoughts and feelings. In fact, I would guess that 98% of the time when George and I are angry with each other, one of us misunderstood the other. The other 2%, George just ignored me completely. lol
I love reminiscing about our past because it puts everything that we have and how far we've come into perspective.
So try not to have tunnel vision, and enjoy life.
Be Happy. Be Mindful. Be Present.
Happy Does It! ;o)
