Daily Happy:
Home. I think that this is one of the happys that makes anyone feel good. We all need a place to call home. It doesn't have to be literal bricks & mortar, it could be a place where you feel accepted, calm and loved.
Your home changes throughout your life. Beginning perhaps, in your parents home. Then, after you grow up a little more, it might transition into an apartment with roomies. Finally, and hopefully it becomes that place where you are with the ones you love.
George always tells me that no matter where we are, as long as we are together, he is home. I kind of love that sentiment. We are home, when we are together. Our love for each other is something that he and I treasure dearly. Perhaps that is why our home is us.
So don't get me wrong, I love having a place to lay my proverbial hat, but I know that in the entire grand scheme of everything, if George wasn't here with me, it would only be the thing that it is, walls, and a roof.
I am not a material girl, so I don't care too much about what I have vs what I don't. I went down that road before, and all it got me was a whole lot of self-doubt. In reality, what we have vs other people, is exactly what we need for this moment. And...when the pendulum shifts and George and I are in a better circumstance, I know that we will be doing things for ourselves finally, and not worrying too much about other people.
Be Present. Be Mindful. Be Happy!
Happy Does It!
