Whether it is that gentle smile or that loving caress, I personally find a happy place in my heart for loving couples. There is something that is magical when they operate together. It becomes something of a synchronized dance or a play when you watch loving couples; you can always tell when they are truly connected .
There are the looks they give each other. The actions that they both make. The sentences that they finish for each other. For George and I, somehow (and he blames my ancestor 'the witch' for this) I will say the exact same thing that he is thinking. He always gives me this look as if he was saying"Get out of my head."; or he will ask me, why I thought that at that particular moment. {What a silly Goose... I know everything}
I especially love seeing older couples. You know that they have been through it all a few times, but still they walk side by side, and smile the same way. One of my favourite movies is 'The Notebook'. I can not get through that movie without bawling my eyes out. It is a good cry though because I am not crying because of the ending, I am crying because I know that this love, that they demonstrate throughout that movie is possible. It makes me happy and sad knowing that some time in my life I am going to leave this earth, and I hope just for one second that my family will understand that I have lived a full life. I know love and I feel love everyday.
So if you have that someone special and you know what it feels like to be truly cherished, loved and honoured, make sure that this feeling holds a special happy in your heart everyday.
If you don't have that someone special in your life, be patient. Love is something that will just bite you in the butt when you least expect it. Besides, you can still be happy because of someone else's happiness.
:o) And I know all these things and the joy that they will bring...
