Daily Happy:
A good laugh. There is something super-satisfying
about experiencing a good, come-from-the-bottom-of-your-belly, laugh. It may bring tears, happy tears. It may cause you to lose yourself, physically jostling, around a room. It may take your breath away. Whatever the effect of a great belly-busting laugh, the stress relief that comes from the laughter will take years off your life. Or at least that is what I think it does.
Luckily for me, I married a man who everyday makes me laugh A LOT. Most times, he will point out some sort of observance of everyday things. We are two people who the universe put together, and I am happier for it.
Just a short tale:
When Mairi was small she used to tell us this joke:
Mairi: Knock, Knock
Us: Who's there?
Mairi: Panther.
Us: Panther who?
Mairi: Panther no panths I'm going thwimming.
Such a corny joke, I think originally from Zaboomafoo, but she would make us laugh just the same. At least she didn't screw up the punch line...like I do. I really suck at telling jokes. Now, Miss Ashleen is like her father. Her jokes are really funny and quite deadpan, dry, and intelligent, but when you hear them, you can not help but chuckle.
Needless to say, laughing is something that makes our lives worth living. Remember to smile. Remember to laugh. And always remember no matter how difficult life can get...
Happy Does It! ;o)
