I am so proud of both of my children. Please take time and read the beautiful things that are written by one of my kiddos. We can learn so much from our children. You need to lend your ear and listen.

There Once Was a Girl Writing a Poem There once was girl writing a poem The one about herself She wanted so bad to be someone Her hair was always curled Her heart was always hurt She makes mistakes and scratches them out The pages continue, she's trying to find herself and what she's about There's holes in between the numerous verbs Suddenly her poem curves and misses the edge It's ripped in half and started over completely Just to find more holes and more half written rhymes But nothing screams "Hello, I'm here to give you the signs!" So the poems longer than when she started She discovers that it doesn't work, she's just broken hearted She's weighing down on herself It only makes it that much harder When she feels so low she writes it down on paper When she finds herself happy, she'll write it down neatly Eventually, she finds There's no more holes The verbs are just fine And, the poem, it even rhymes
